My suggestion is have any registered leader in you Pack (even the Cubmaster) tes
t the
boys and sign off their Bobcat if they pass their exam. Then present their awar
d at
your next meeting. It will help them feel that they are now part of the Pack an
d give
them a head start when you start up in the fall.

I am both a Cubmaster and a Den Leader in my Pack. During our last month of thi
s
season, I handed out Wolf Books to all Tiger Cubs (15 boys), so that they could
study
for their Bobcat badge. I also had all Tiger Cub parents purchase their boy the
ir
blue Cub Scout Uniform to wear at our Last Pack Meeting (Graduation Night). A w
eek
before our last Pack meeting we had Bobcat exam night for all of them.

At our last Pack meeting all the Tigers showed up very proud in their new blue C
ub
Scout uniform. We had a Special Indian Ceremony, where I dressed up as the Chie
f, in
War Bonnet, and used a Talking Feather to hold the Packs attention. As each per
son
completed their oath they were tapped on each shoulder with the Talking Feather,
much
like being Knighted. The Wolf Cub Scouts dressed up as Braves, since the Tigers
were
entering the Wolf Den. First we graduated each Den Leader from one-level-to-ano
ther,
using a pledge that they said in front of all the Pack. They promised to, be a
good
Cub Scout Leader, to help each Cub earn their awards and to help the Pack in all
events. The new Den Leaders and Assistants were lead to the side of the stage w
aiting
for their new Den members.

Next we presented each Tiger with his Graduation Certificate and a Tiger Graduat
ion
Patch one at a time. Then each Tiger was crossed over, saying his Cub Scout Pro
mise
and the Law of the Pack and received their Bobcat Badge. Our Wolf Braves brough
t each
new Bobcat to his new Wolf Den leader who waited on the side of the stage.

Next we graduated the Bear Den to the Webelos Den presenting each boy with a new
Webelos Kneckerchief. Followed by the Wolves receiving their Bear Kneckerchief
and
being taken by the Chief to their new Bear Den. The Wolves were last since they
were
the Indian Braves of the ceremony.

It went very well and all had a great time. The leaders and parents enjoyed the
ceremony and every leader and boy left with an award and a smiling face.

I hope this message wasn't too long and that it helps you with some ideas.
