Mark Nelson relays a story about a 77 year old man who finally eraned his
Eagle Scout badge.
While I do not know whether the story is true or not, I was upset about the
last comment: "No one can become the Eagle Scout after the age of 18 except
of those mental retarded scouts."
Current Scout policy is all inclusive in reagrds to physical and mental
challanges. My most rewarding experience in Scouting stems from working with
a troop of Cerebal Palsy scouts who by the effort and perseverance made
Scouting reconsider their rules about the physically and mentally challenged.
