It is EVERY professional's responsibility, Mike, to insure that the program
is not being used improperly...it's part of that "Scout Executive's Code" that
I stated here several times. That's also partly why I don't share ALL of the
information that I get from various sources from time to time, and why although
I differ personally with many of the BSA's policies, that I have been placed in
a position to defend them (even though my professional days in the BSA are
well behind me).
In that person's case, he's doing it because of that "obligation" but
believe me,
much of what he "reports" goes in one ear and right out the other, because
his "influnce" only goes to the end of his Council's territory. In other
words,
he can call anyone he pleases, but unless the Scouter is a member of HIS local
Council, not much will come of it.
