There's a SUPER book that was given to me for being a
staff member at the 1984 INTERCAMP in southern Germany.
It is published by the British Scouting Association and written
by John Sweet. Called "Scout Pioneering", there's some really
GREAT and simple (and complex!!) pioneering projects that
can be done as demostration projects at camp or within a
campsite.

I have dogeared the book over the years and it's dirty from
camp and coffee (mostly from coffee! *smiling*), but it's still
a great resource. If you can get it from the Canadian Scout
Association or the British Scouting Association, please do.
He'll find it (in my opinion only) a BETTER reference than
the existing Pioneering Merit Badge pamphet.
