Subject: Free to Youth

The Quartermaster isn't the least bit expensive for our Sea Scouts since
the National Sea Scouting Committee gives it away free. Try to get a free
pot metal Eagle Award let alone a silver one. :-)

The cost is high for replacement medals as a means of defraying the
cost of the gratis program. I guess that the key is not to lose your
cherished old pot metal beauty.

Anyway, the new one is very popular with those who count: The youth.

I am reminded of a cartoon. It shows two old men riding in a bus. One
turns to his buddy and says: "You know, I've seen a lot of changes in the
past forty years -

and I've fought every one of them!!!"

YISS;
Bill Sills
