Frequent meetings

Eric K. mentioned a "rule of thumb" that I have wondered about. I have
heard (or been told) that the more often you meet (once or twice a week),
the stronger the unit. I have always been involved in groups that met
weekly, but set up my unit to meet twice a month, with other activities
that round out the schedule to once per week. Are there any units out
there running strong ships with a twice monthly schedule? Or does that
doom a unit? I have kids with a lot of other commitments.
