I completed the joint Sea Scout and US Sailing's certification program
last summer - it was extremely good and well worth it. What you find out
right of is that having boat(s) and water is just a very small part to
making a successful program. US Sailing has been through this many many
times and the quality of their material is excelent. They keep the fun
in it, build skills and confidence and have a way of complementing water
programs with land-demos, skits, chalk talks, presentations etc. that
keep programs moving along in all kinds of weather.
I strongly recommend it to anyone.
