SEA EXPERIENCE ADVANCED LEADERSHIP Course

Friday 17 to Friday 24 July
Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois
This is our nationally approved six day six Sea Scout youth
leadership and management course conducted at sea, on Lake
Michigan, aboard the Motor Vessel ARAPAHO. This is
absolutely not a nautical skills session. All prospective
participants must apply using the form available at
http://www.idcnet.con.~whs.sealapp.htm, must have attained
at least the rank of Ordinary Sea Scout, be certified by
their skipper as having mastered the Nautical skills on
Chapter 5 of the Sea Scout (Sea Explorer) Manual, be
recommended by their skipper, their squadron commodore and
be approved by their Local Pilot (Scout Executive).
Cost includes all meals, berths aboard and ashore, tee
shirt, cap, mug, patch, uniform award, certificate, etc.
Each sea Scouit is responsible for their own personal items,
their transportation to and from Great Lakes Naval Training
Center and two sets of US Navy dunagree uniforms, blue
shorts, blue web belt, deck shoes and/or sneakers, dungaree
jacket, sweater, underwear, socks, dark glasses, sailors
knife, personal items, Sea Scout Manual, etc.

Training Experience for Sea Scout Officers, Committee
Members, and professional executives with a minimum of one
year as a registered Mate, Skipper, CommitteeMember,

1700 Friday, Saturday & concluding Noon Sunday on the 26th,
27th & 28th days of September 1998
