I can't see why all the negatives. No one is breaking your arm to stay in
Scouting. BSA does work with the disabled. I go to Summer Camp and see the
Easter Seal camp mixed right in with our Scouts. A great program and it has
been good for the handicapped youngsters and the Scouts and leaders. I am
sure that New Hampshire is not the only place where you will find the BSA
working with the underpriveliged or handicapped. I have had disabled Scouts
in my Troop and never was asked to leave them home. We go to all District
and Council events that we can.
In any organization if you spend any time at all you can find fault. I am
here because of the values taught to me, my boys, and the boys I have
brought to and through the program. Yes, i can find things I disagree on,
but I believe in the program so do my best to look to the positive. This way
the program will work to the beefit of the youth we serve. If you are
involved in a youth sporting program I bet there are faults. i could even
find fault with some Church groups, but would rather look at the good side.
