I don't see the hangup on having a parent endorse their son's Eagle Scout
application if they are filling an adult leadership position in the troop.
Sitting on the BoR is altogether a different story.
If the CC or SM is the parent of the candidate they should sign on the
appropriate line. When my son's approved application copy came back to us
there was a note on the application initialed by the CE and Eagle Scout
Service person passing on their congatultions to the lad for being the first
Eagle Scout from Alexandria, Egypt in living memory. If the council and
Eagle Scout Service don't have a problem why should anyone else.
We are getting a bit too wrapped around the axel on this stuff.
