There is a sale in my area on sleeping bags.
The mummy bags are the Sears house brand of
Sir Hillary and are rated at 25 degrees.
These would definitely be more backpackable
than the current bags we are using.
The combination of closeout price (below 25.00)
and the fact that they are not anywhere as huge
as the bags I currently own (more like semi-truck
camping in size than car camping in size) is
attractive for a variety of reasons.
Now that two of the kiddos are older and back
packing seems more interesting to them, it's time
to review equipment options. For that matter, the
car trip to PTC would have been a lot simpler to
pack if I had owned smaller bags.
We are not polar bear campers and are rarely out
when the temp. is below 40 so getting 10 or 5 degree
bags seems excessive.
Anyone have any experience, good, bad, otherwise
with the Hillary brand that Sears carries?
