No one ever said that National's senior leadeship was rational in its
decision making process or had a fingernail's worth of business sense or
cared what its membership thinks. I am optimistic that under new leadership
at the top that the reactionary drifting that has plagued the organization
for the last 5-10 years will stop and that BSA will focus on the core values
and purpose of scouting. The units in the field do just that every day of
every week. It is time for the larger organization to rejoin its membership
in scouting.
There are some really good people at National and the local councils that
are there because they believe in the Scouting Movement and seek to put
their all into making it work. TR's guys and gals "in the arena" so to
speak. They work in Program, Supply, and just about anywhere else. I find
them good to work with. The best and brightest anywhere. They are there
because they want to be.
Others...well...there are others that...well...
