In the context of your church you are welcome to the view
that it is "non-denominational." In academic circles that
is considered a denomination.

Scouting however is not "non-denominational" it is
"non-sectarian." the precise word in the DRP. The
difference is that while "non-denominational" is a term
certain Christian communities apply to themselves and is
also a word used to describe certain "ecumenical" events,
"non-sectarian" explicitly includes Islam, Judism,
Buddists, Hindus, Jains, B'Hai and host of others.

A "non-denominational service" is on its face a problem for
LDS, Anglican and RC Scouts/ers and especially those of the
non-Christian faiths.
