To all,

A Scouting Family in South Florida Council has suffered a terrible tragedy.
The entire Vajanyi family, John, Julie, Terri and Stacey, have dedicated
their lives to Scouting. One of them has been taken from us too soon.

This message was sent by John Vajanyi Tuesday night.

It is with a heavy heart that I communicate the death of my first born
child, Theresa "Terri' Vajanyi. Terri passed away on Tuesday, August 1,
2000, at 9:22 p.m..

Terri was 18 years of age, and an Angel to everyone she knew.

Terri and her sister Stacey were in a tragic auto accident, while on their
way to have their dresses altered for the funeral of my Mother, who had
passed away last Friday after a long bout with cancer.

Stacey remains in critical condition, but is improving. She is expected to
remain in the critical care unit for sometime.
Terri's wake ceremony is currently scheduled for this Friday at
Brownley-Maxwell funeral home, Melbourne, from 5:00pm till 9:00pm. Terri's
funeral is scheduled for 2:00pm Saturday at Central Baptist Church in Palm
Bay.

She will be laid to rest at the St. Joseph cemetery next to her Grandmother,
Eva Vajanyi.

Please pass this notice along to everyone that knows myself or Terri. Her
family and friends will always cherish her and she will be missed until we
meet again.

=====

An account has been set up in the name of the Vajanyis to help cover the
tremendous monetary expenses of their ordeal.
It is one of the very few things we can do to lighten their burden.

If you wish to make a contribution to this fund please find the details to
follow.

Bank Atlantic
Attn: Yasmin
4695 N. University Drive
Coral Springs FL 33067

Make check payable to: Faith Beerman For the Benefit of The Vajanyi Family
Memo: For benefit of Vajanyi Family, Accnt. 0057159608

=========

There is also a blood drive scheduled to offset the expense of the blood
given to the girls. Any blood type is ok. It will be Saturday, August 5,
2000

At First United Methodist Church in Coral Springs from 10 am until 2 pm.

Thank you to all who can help.

Thanks to all for your prayers and caring.

Faith Beerman

======

Note from Jess Olonoff

For those of you unable to help monetarily or with the blood drive, please
add your prayers to ours for Stacey's recovery and to help John and Julie
and the rest of the family through this ordeal.

Yours in the Spirit of Scouting,

Jess Olonoff
