To the List. Many thanks to those that offered support yesterday. Even if we
agreed to disagree that doen't change the fact that we agree on the core
values of scouting.

I am sorry to send this following message out but this type of mail has come
once too often from the same individual. My apologies for the general
broadcast but this individual has gone beyond the edge of proper e-list
behavior. The cause of the response follows the first message.
----------------------------------
Mr. Sheehan:

I can't believe you contacted me again. You are way off the mark and
seriously out of line. You obviously have forgotten what scouting is all
about.

I suggest you dig out your Scout Handbook and read the bit early on about:

Trustworthy,
Loyal,
Helpful,
Friendly,
Courteous,
Kind,
Obedient,
Cheerful,
Thrifty,
Brave,
Clean,
Reverent

Followed by some additional words that reinforce the meaning on a more
individual basis.

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
to keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake and morally straight.

These basic scouting principles haven't changed over the years.

As I said the response was NOT to you. Quite frankly: I seem to have hit
pretty close to home though or you wouldn't be so defensive.
