Hi Everyone!!
As I posted last night on Jessi's machine, I am finally back for a period
of time until one of the two computers I have and use at home is repaired
enough for me to use it. In the meantime, I have to hunt and peck on a
laptop that I'm being loaned to do website maintenance and work for my
employer.
My name is Mike Walton. For the last ten years (give or take a couple of
months like this past one, whereby for one reason or another I've been here
but not!), I've been a part of Scouts-L, the "international daily
Roundtable meeting which NEVER ends!"
I am living presently in a southern suburb of the Twin Cities (closer to
the St.Paul side than the Minneapolis side) with my wife Jessi and my
mother-in-law. I am a longtime Scouter, having been a part of the program
for well over 30 years.
There's more information about me on my website, which is called "The Tree"
at the address below. I'm happy to be back, even if I have to view it on a
small color screen for right now....it's better than having to have my wife
to tell me "You're really missing out on the conversation on Scouts-L!"
Hopefully, we'll be able to get one of the two machines repaired and I'll
be joining everyone here more often; in the meantime, I've got a LOT of
email to read and answer and file and some to find the answer on.
As I mentioned in my earlier posting, I don't have access to my AOL account
right now; I am hoping that Jessi will get this cleared up and I can start
receiving all of my many pieces of mail from there too (it's only been down
since yesterday).
If you need to reach me, please do so either through this account, or
blkeagle@mninter.net (or you can reach me at work at
mike.walton@usarc-emh2.army.mil). You can also call me at 1-800-THE ARMY
extension 3153 for the next few days as well. Just when things are going
well....The Army wants me to work
on the 10th Annisversary of Desert Shield/Desert Storm, so I may be on my
way to Washington for a short period of time (and please don't get too
excited, NCAC Scouters!!! It's not in stone yet, and I don't know for a
fact that I'm on my way...they are still working the financing part out!!)
Thanks for your patience...and MAN, IT'S GREAT TO BE BACK HERE!!!
