...I have 3 jobs, but only one shirt with the proper insignia.

I am one of those kind of people who feels funny doing Scouting stuff while
not in complete (and correct) uniform. So, what do I do? get over it?
Buy 2 more shirts (shudder)?

Is it legal to "velcro" the badge of office onto the shirt? Then, I could
rip off one and slap on the other.

Hmm, do I have to buy more epalets, too?
--------------------------------------

Mark brings up a very good question, for I too play the 'hat trick' as DLC
(Den Leade Coach), Dist Training Team, & CS RTC. Now hope I don't get
penalized for being off-sides or boarding.

Sure, it is much easier on the wallet to be able to switch out the position
patch by use of velcro. Changing the red/blue epaulets of a unit leader for
the grey of a district position is only stressful on button threads. But
the real problem comes when your left sleeve has a unit anniversary strip,
unit number, position patch, and the 'TRAINED' patch. {{Don't forget any
patches on right sleeve. In my case as a former DL & WDL.}}

Back to the left sleeve --
First, the "TRAINED" patch indicates that you received {doesn't mean you
retained} the training course appropriate for the position patch above it.
Hopefully this doesn't effect anyone on this list that would read this.
Secondly, a district-level postion {RTC, DC, OA Adv, etc.} would fit onto
the velcro of the unit-level position, ----BUT, the unit numeral &
anniversary strip would no longer apply.

With the above discussion doing ping pong in my head & wanting to
appropriately wear the uniform for the position/occaission, I purchased
another shirt to set-up for District positions & leave my unit level shirt
with the additional items on the left sleeve. I have other shirts that were
picked up for 1/10 to 1/5 the cost at Thrift Shop/Tag Sales for
Camps/Outdoors purposes.
