When I saw how much the Scouts in our Troop enjoyed instant recognition, I
encourage the Den Leaders in my younger son's Pack to do the same thing.
Interestingly while the Cubs love this, some parents complained because they
were afraid their son would be hurt if his friends earned their badges first.
Still, we found more Scouts going to Den meetings and making sure their parents
showed up in time for the awards ceremony. The Den Leaders and Scouts felt even
more honored when the Cub Master showed up to watch as well. Those were fun
times. I love this Scouting Stuff.
