At the Heritage Reservation, Greater Pittsurgh Council camp staff has
each troop/pack leader fill out a "form" asking where leadser
works....and the name of their boss and employment address etc....
.......then the Council Scout Exec. tehn sends a letter to the
boss/president/CEO/employer advising the employer of the commendable
service of the emplyee (leader) and the time spent......while not a
common ocurrence, there are nontheless several stories of when Company
CEOs have received such letters, the CEO advises the Pesonnel/Human
Resources to "credit/give" the emloyee (scout leader) an extra week of
vacation or "counts" the week at camp as a week worked !!!!!......also,
such a letter helps a CEO know why a certain employee may be so desiring
to get a particular week off....
