Vehicle registration and equipment ownership is not a problem unique to LDS
units. With few exceptions it affects all units.

Our last troop in the U.S. had to give up on trailers because of vehicle
registration problems. The sponsor wouldn't take responsibility and the
long-time ASM title holder moved away and couldn't reasonably retain title.
We removed the equipment and sold it. In some ways it freed us from the
"tyranny of the patrol box" issues. If it doesn't fit in a pack, it doesn't
travel with us. Loading out on Friday evenings or Saturdays is a breeze.
Food quality and variety didn't suffer after we became wired in.

YiS,

Phil Abbey
