The BSA desired a more central location; Kansas City, Omaha, Chicago and the
Dallas-Fort Worth areas were selected as target cities; Irving was selected
because of its closeness to an international airport and because the land
was pretty cheap there to build.

I would have rather they had chosen Kansas City or Paducah, Kentucky...
(or anyplace in Kentucky)!
