This was just sent to me and I have checked it out the best I could and it
is REAL. Pass it on to any one you know. I just found out that it just
shut down part of the Nashville, TN real estate Multiple Listing Service.

Subject: ALERT!
To Mississippi REALTORS®:
This one is for real.
All morning people, companies, associations, etc. around the world have been
receiving a virus e-mail. It has already shut down the email systems in
major
hospitals, technology centers and companies. Worldwide, even Britian's House
of Commons email is shut down!! Yahoo's News Service gives this report....
May 4 - A massively destructive virus that clogs networks and erases
graphics
and music files has infected up to 90 percent of the corporations in the
world, a virus expert said today.
The "vbs.loveletter.a" virus spreads through Microsoft Windows'
Internet
extensions and replaces all JPG and MP3 files it finds on infected computers
with copies of itself. It then sends itself to everyone in an infected
user's
Microsoft Outlook address book.
Users running Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or NT who open a message titled
"ILOVEYOU" find a strange attachment file with a snakelike icon called
"LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.txt.vbs."
Simply reading the e-mail does no harm. But opening the attachment
implants code in the Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express e-mail programs
which sends copies of the message to everyone in a user's address book.
Computer users who receive the e-mail should just delete it without
opening the attachment, and they won't be infected.
The virus apparently originated in the Phillippines and hit Europe and
Asia early this morning, said Eric Chien, chief researcher at the Symantec
Antivirus Research Center in the Netherlands.
Be warned! DO NOT OPEN ANY EMAIL OR DOWNLOAD ANY FILES WITH THE WORDS "I
LOVE
YOU" ON IT.
