I think we are missing some of the point.

The Boy Scouts of America is not saying that homosexuals are bad people.

The BSA is not saying that homosexuals are criminals. The BSA is not saying
that homosexuals are pedophiles or child molesters.

The BSA is saying that openly gay adults, and homosexual activists are not
the role models we want for our youth members because they are not models
of the traditional family values we want our members to acquire.

I, as a Caucasian, would not be an acceptable role model for an Hispanic,
Native American, Asian, or African
American youth organization teaching traditional ethnic customs, culture
and values.

I as a Catholic would not be an acceptable role model for a Jewish or Buddhist
youth group where their religious customs, traditions and values are taught.

I may know something about these customs, traditions and values, but I
don't model them in my own life.

Would it be discrimination to deny me a leadership role in one of these
organizations? YES!

Would it be alright? YES! For the sake of the kids, YES!!!

Only my opinion.
