Ben,
Quite the opposite. National policy is that you may signoff for anyone,
INCLUDING your son, ward, guardian, etc.
The flip side of this question is the more ethical issue, not can you, but when
SHOULD you. I SUGGEST to the MBCs in my district / council that, if your son
needs to use you are a counselor, that you suggest to him that he have another
Scout work on the same badge with him. That way, if both earn the badge, there
is less appearance that corners were cut with /for your son.
Of course, this is only a suggestion. As others say, "your mileage may vary"...
