Amen! These guys are "tween-agers" -- they're getting a little old for some
of their toys, but they're not quite in adolescence yet either. They may
still think mom and dad are the greatest, but their friends make fun of them
if they're caught walking with mom and dad at the mall (heaven forbid they're
seen trying on clothes!!!). It's a difficult transition for a lot of them.
Let's give them encouragement and save our clear-cut,
black-and-white-but-no-gray rules for things that REALLY matter, like choices
regarding drugs and alcohol. If the pack wants to let them race, let them
race.
