The mission of the Jewish Committee on Scouting is, "To promote Scouting for
Jewish youth by securing new Jewish chartered organizations and by
continuing to provide individual Scouts and units with quality program and
service." On Sunday, April 2, 2000, the Northeast Region Jewish Committee
on Scouting (NERJCoS) will conduct its 13th Annual Conference to permit the
exchange of ideas among Scouters that will assist them in achieving this
mission. This year, speakers at the conference will include Rabbi Art Vernon
(Chairman, NERJCoS), Jerrold Lockshin (Chairman, National JCoS), and invited
guest speaker Donald Oblander (National Director, Relationships Division,
BSA).
The Conference will be held at the Jewish Community Center of MetroWest of
New Jersey (901 Route 10 East, Whippany, NJ) from 10 AM to 4 PM.
