Single axle too light ??

If you are carrying so much gear that you need dual axles, is your program
too far into car camping? Or do you have a huge troop?

P.S. Our single axle trailer does not weave, neither does my single axle
boat trailer.

We keep our trailer, unlocked, behind the Temple.

Our trailer is used only for hauling, not storage, so it is open, about 5
ft by 10 ft, with an elevated rack for poles. Easy to load and unload. We
live in California, so keeping things dry is less of an issue than other
states. We use a tarp when needed.

We've not had a blowout in the 7 years I have been invovled. We have a
spare, but its not padlocked.

A trailer without enclosure is easier to see over (out your rear view
mirror)

Our trailer was typically towed by my Chevy Impala (350 V8) or a suburban,
through occasioinally my 2.5 litre Jeep Cheroke towed it (lightly loaded)

Here's a thought - only use backpack gear on all (almost) trips - much less
stuff - and your tropos are fully trained for real backpacking trips
