God that prevented it. One of the boys from our Troop skipped the Fall
Ordeal because he had a football game to play Saturday afternoon; then,
he caught 'flu the week before Spring Ordeal and missed *it*. Another
time, the boy was called out of town on Thursday night because his
grandfather had died.
(VBG) Or momma may have kept him home if there were heavy thunderstorms
and a serious drop in temperature predicted (as the night our son did
Ordeal).
