Funny you should ask. Just last month I was at the American Library
Association Midwinter Conference (in San Antonio) and one of the exhibitors
was the BSA. The rep in the booth was from National Supply (I think he was
affiliated with the Council store run by them). I picked up a bunch to
bring home since I had only heard of this, and had never seen one. (Most
folks here had not seen one, either.) They were encouraging librarians to
pick them up for info on how to order merit badge pamphlets.

On the back cover, the publication number is 70-080(99). My guess it that
they were trying to reduce inventory, since the requirements book featured
is the 99 edition, and I picked up the "y2k" edition at our local scout
store on Friday.

There is an toll free number heavily promoted in the pamphlet, I'd
encourage calling and asking. The number for ordering literature is:
                 800/323.0732

I have not compared this with the catalog order phone number.

Hope this helps, YiS

Michael
