What has THIS to do with a RESPONSIBLE parent asking what it will cost
for a boy to fully participate in a troop? No amount of warm and cozy
feelings between a bunch of Tigers and an SM will replace that! It is
not the fault of the Troop or the responsibility of the Pack to pay a
boys way to summer camp, because the parent didn't ask how much. Some
troops car camp, other troops take the Tenderfoot scouts to BWC. We have
troop here in Cleveland that goes to England every other year! The
PARENT needs to ask, to help the boy choose a troop. How valuable is a
relationship when a boy can't afford to participate in the troop and
quits, when he could have joined a troop he could afford to participate
in?
