another horse being rode to death -
as a youth and Adult, I have only belonged to Catholic sponsored troops,
despite the fact that I am Protestant (Episcopal to be specific)
when we camped, if a church was avail near by, we went and if no
protestant, we all went to Catholic services; if avail, my SM and I went
Portestant, the rest Catholic
when we camp and a Priest from our unit was avail to come to camp, we
held Catholic services - if there was a nearby Church and our Protestant
scouts wished, we'd try to get someone to come to camp to provide Protestant
services
bottom line - this is something that is a matter between SM and
parent/child before they join a troop, it should be part of the SM's routine
presentation everytime someone approaches the unit.
