Bob, I'm the first to insist that prayers and grace at most Scouting
activities be non-sectarian. However, there are times when that is
neither necessary or appropriate, such as at a Retreat sponsored by the
Catholic Committee on Scouting, where it is known that all attendees are
Catholic, or even at a troop function of a troop where all the attendees
are of the same faith.
If there is a "mixed crowd", then by all means make sure it's
non-sectarian, as you suggested.
