I taught my kids an old English Catholic or Anglican boarding school grace
that my 84 year old dad taught me. Those of you that know Latin can correct
it but it goes like this
Benedictus, benedicat
Per Jesu Christos
Dominum Nostrum
Amen
My 17 year old (who studied Latin in high school) got called on last summer
to say grace at Summer Camp in west Texas in front of the whole camp and he
used that one. There were lot's of puzzeled looks from the scouts and to his
surprise the camp director knew Latin and made him translate it and congegate
the verbs.
