Now that you have opened "Pandora's Box" it will be tough to change things
back to the way they used to be. Maybe the real thing we should discuss
here is why did the SM make this decision (and not the PLC)?
Anyway, being the head cook for the Adult Patrol (named "the Whiners
Patrol"), I would try to have the PLC explain that this was nothing more
than an experiment. And, maybe open a discussion about the pros and cons
of cooking as a Patrol. It would seem that cost and sharing the load would
be obvious positives to the Patrol method. Also, even though it is indeed
not in any BSA manual I have even seen, I totally agree with your three
stage method of cleaning (meaning we too use the final rinse with a little
bleach). Maybe this would also be a good time to fire up the "Cooking
Merit Badge"? How about a little Patrol Competition - a Cook Off?
