I recommend that you not morph Webelos Den Leaders into adult patrol
advisors. I prefer to see an experienced ASM assigned to support the Troop
Guide for the New Scout Patrol. WLs need some time to transform. I
suggest that WLs need to be assigned to troop committee positions for a
year so that their Webelos can make a proper transition to scouting. After
they've had a year on the committee, then assign them as ASMs for the next
New Scout Patrol.
