In my opinion some people really need to think before they post to the
entire list. I am not refering to the original letter that was placed, I
am concerned about all of the thoughtless replys that have been made
stating that this was "garbage, not appropriate, violated policies, and
thought that the list should filter this junk. As well as personally
acusing the poster of furthering his personal agenda"

As some very wise people always said, if you ain't got something nice to
say, dont say anything. Now, I am not advocating that we dont have
differences of opinion or that we dont constructively argue, yet several of
our SCOUTER'S replys offered nothing in regard to the original post itself,
only criticising it's broadcast.

I would encorage those who have a problem with the appropriatness of the
CONTENT or TEXT of a post to contact the person making the post and/or the
list administrator DIRECTLY and not broadcast your opinion to everyone. If
you have a problem with the IDEA'S expressed in a post, offer opposition
and CONSTRUCTIVE differences. This type of response should be posted to
EVERYONE because it sparks healthy discussion and can generate new insight.

We have no basis to accuse this scouter of furthering his personal agenda
on the three "g"'s. He could have posted this as a "heads up" or an "FYI"
or even "is this legit" situation.

We have no right to accuse him of hiding behind a nickname... Many times,
I simply sign my email by -J. because it is habbit and most people who I
write to know me.

Take your personal differences and three line responses of "i dont like
this type of stuff" off the list -- where it belongs, and use our list
resources for GOOD ARGUEMENT about the IDEAS expressed.

Thanks!
-James Wilson
