An Aviation camporee, what a great idea! Here in the Florida Panhandle, we
have lots of military as well as civil airfields, as well as the National
Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola. Now, why haven't I thought of that?
Hmmm, methinks I shall give it a whirl.

Please contact your local EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) chapter. In
Huntsville, it is Chapter 190, their contact is John Robbins - 256/880-8136
robbinsj@amdyne.com MEETING-INFORMATION: Moontown Airport 3rd Tues., 7:00 PM.
They have the Young Eagle program (free demo flights). If that is too much
to handle, they may be able to help you in other ways. Civil Air Patrol is a
good source.

Don't you have that great Camp on a huge lake nearby (sorry I can't remember
the name)? The Seaplane Pilots Association, http://www.seaplanes.org, might
be able to help put you in contact with someone with a seaplane that could
land on the lake.

Contact some local FBOs or flight schools, they might provide some program
help: Decatur-Athens Aero Service, 205-355-5770. Redstone
Arsenal Flying Activity, Huntsville,
205-881-3980. UND Aerospace Flight Training Center, Huntsville,
205-772-7757. Publicity and future student revenue should sell them.

Now you got me wound up. Now for me to propose this at our next
roundtable-get the Air Force (4 big Bases) and Navy (2 big bases) to compete
on help. Four CAP squadrons competing. Numerous FBOs and flight schools.
This can be a real adventure
