Happy New Year SCOUTS-L!

I received my new BSA catalog I think last week but didn't start to look at
seriously until tonight. What struck me immediately was that there was huge
increase in the items offered, particularly in the camping equipment. What do
you all think? I think on first glance that overall its a good effort (a
beginning).

I also see at first glance that the long listed BSA Ax staple (the Plumb Ax)
is no longer listed. I could never see to get enough do re me that I wanted
to part with for either the short or long handle model. Might BSA Supply
still have some around?

Also has anyone ever used the HEATAB STOVE on page CA14? Results? It looks an
awful lot like the Esbit (sp) stove shown in Campmor catalog and which is
liked a lot by some of the Ultralight Backpacking crowd. Any idea how much
the HEATAB STOVE weighs

PS Now I'll have to look closely at the prices!
