Yes, we tell our scouts to bring the scout
handbook, but in regards to checking to make sure
that everything is signed off and completed, that
should be checked by the Scoutmaster and
advancement chairman even before the board of
review is scheduled. I always sit down with the
scout for the Scout spirit and SM conference as
the last requirement (except for the bor). Our
advancement chairman won't schedule a bor unless
everything else is accomplished.

Why have a scout appear before a bor if
everything else isn't done?

We also do our bor's 1 evening a month on a non-
troop meeting. Its on our calendar, and gives
the scouts a date to aim to complete what they
need to.
