Re: Advancement dilly/Books during BOR's

We ask that Scouts have their books for BOR's but we don't refuse
a boy if he doesn't have the book. Nearly all do have them as they
want to get the BOR members to initial the book.

As far as paper work, we use the "Board of Review" form generated by
TroopMaster 2000 prior to the SM Conference. This form contains a
summary of the Scout's advancement, lists the merit badges he has
earned, lists up to 8 partials and has a list of the dates he completed
each of the requirements for his upcoming rank. It also has spaces for
the BOR members to sign. A very useful document and very "user
friendly" for BOR members.

Each month, we generate a TroopMaster 2000 Advancment Report (3 copies)
which is accepted by our Council in lieu of the 3-part carbon form
(#34403). Two copies go to the Council and one stays with our troop.
TroopMaster 2000 will also generate a diskette that will "feed" the
advancement information to ScoutNet 2000.

YiS,
