Subject: Guide to Safe Scouting - 1999
To: SCOUTS-L@LISTSERV.TCU.EDU

We at the USSSP are very pleased to announce a small, asked for,
addition to the on line Guide to Safe Scouting (G2SS).

Thanks to the work of an un-named Scouter (who I must apologize to
publicly, since I left his name at home :-( ) the Guide is now available
for download in 3 more formats.

By going to the G2SS index at:
        http://www.usscouts.org/safety/g2ss99.html
you can reach a copy of the Guide in Word97 format, a zipped copy of
that file, and a copy of the Guide as a pdf file. The Word and pdf
files are about 400 KB each, and the zip file is about 140 KB.

These files can also be accessed directly at:
        WORD: http://www.usscouts.org/safety/g2ss99.doc
        ZIP: http://www.usscouts.org/safety/g2ss99.zip
and PDF: http://www.usscouts.org/safety/g2ss99.pdf

These versions do NOT contain the appendix, which is accessible from
the
index separately. I'll also be converting the pdf files of the forms in
the appendix to forms which can be filled out as soon as possible.

I will post the name of our benefactor ASAP. He really deserves credit
for
his work, as the Word version is an outstanding effort.
