We're looking (still) for Scouts and Scouters who are, or ever served in
Transatlantic Council, BSA (TAC), (or its Order of the Arrow lodge (Black
Eagle #482). Both council and lodge serve U.S. (and some NATO) families
residing in Europe.
Our search supports council's efforts for its 50th anniversary, which will
be a reunion of Scouters involved in our unique international experience; a
reunion in person (at our annual scouters' conference), and on the web.
Every TAC Scout, Scouter, and friend who wears beads, sashes, knots, and
patches (or none yet!) has a seat at this table. They remind us how, and
why, and where the experience was gained - and where the seed was planted.
We welcome TAC "alumni" (who we believe epitomize Scouting throughout the
world, and who have every right to be proud of the training and experience
they received in this council). We are sure they've gone on to improve
Scouting in other areas.
Check out our updated web page (Http://www.homestead.com/bac2tac. We list
TAC award recipients, Eagles (a list still under construction), OA vigils
and lodge officers, and Wood Badge participants and course histories. Make
sure your own participation is part of TAC's history. Tell us your story
(directly on the web site). Join our email list. We'd love to hear from
you.
Good Scouting,
