Re: Blue and Gold Continued

Our Pack's Blue Gold usually has a meal, celebrating the birthday of Cub
Scouting. I usually do the "Story of the Colors" which I have the Tiger
Cubs around a tripod with a bucket hanging above a ceremonial fire. Dry
ice in the bucket. Have a couple of older scouts go and get the blue
and gold water (as the ceremony goes) then dump it in. There is also a
can in the middle with a wolf kerchief that I pull out. They like it.
Our second year Webelos have earned Arrow of Light, so they get that and
I do the arrow (Scout history) thing with them. Actually this is
usually done before I do the Blue Gold color skit. Finally we bridge
them over, our Troops want them so they can get them ready for camping
in the spring and summer camps. I put together a couple of the common
bridge ceremonies and then have them sign the bridge (a great idea I got
off this list).
Hope this helps.
Jim
