Re: NJ and IL court decisions

To all in Scouting:
I have not ever voiced an opinion on this list. I am now trying to get
a FEEL for how leaders are taking the news from NJ and IL.
I have also heard of a Don't ask, Don't tell policy from RI.
I am pretty sure that as soon as BSA releases an approval of the
"Don't" policy We will have to fight to keep our charter at our church.
Our Troop comes in last to all the other youth programs at the church
and these Court decisions will play into the hands of the extremely
homophobic nature of some of our congregation.
How can this "Eagle Scout" who wrote this letter to Clinton be an Eagle
Scout? At what point does "morally Straight" and "A Scout is Reverent"
include practicing an "abomination" (Leviticus 18:22).
I feel that this is further proof that the second coming is getting
close. Tolerance of these abhorrent lifestyles permeates every aspect
of life today.
I am not tolerant of these lifestyles because my God does not approve of
them. I will not tolerate Gays as Scout leaders or Scouts.
We need to show National that this is an issue that is very important to
the folks who make scouting work. YOU and ME.
