We use Troopmaster that way routinely. We tell folks that anybody in
the Troop can have a copy of the data if they just bring a formatted
disk to the Troop meeting. We copy the fresh data onto it from a laptop
and away they go ... happily. It is a great way for us to "audit" our
data for accuracy and to put out advancement fires before they can burn
someone.

The Troopmaster license is to the Troop. You can copy and distribute
the program to anyone in the Troop.

Our experience has been that, once we make this offer, we are taken up
on it for three or four weeks and then interest peters out for most
folks. The offer always stands, though. It completely dispels any
notions that the record keeping is "privileged" (by keep-ers and
keep-ees <VBG>)

One caveat: there can only be ONE official Troop database with one
person keeping that database up to date. Don't get into the morass of
permitting multiple folks to enter data on multiple copies of the
program.

Good luck.
