Matthew Murphy is a boy scout from an LDS troop in Minnesota who was
attending a camp in northwest Wisconsin this week, when he was attacked
by
a 250-to 300-pound black bear. He was sleeping in a tent when attacked
by
the bear; his screams woke other troop members and his father, who is
the
"troop leader," who managed to scare the bear away. Matthew was in
surgery for 2 1/2 hours and received 195 stitches.
