Hey thanks gang for comming through. So many responed that I want to thank you
all together. As promissed, here is what you sent me. I love this Scouting
stuff.

Barry Runnels

An Eagle Scout is: trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind,
obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean & reverent.
OR
An Eagle Scout: lives each day by the Scout Law & Scout Oath.; is a good
citizen; is willing to extend a helping hand at all times.

I know that is a little more than 10 words. But I hope it helps.

YIS,
Keith Hudy

Twelve words or less:
TRUSTWORTHY
LOYAL
HELPFUL
FRIENDLY
COURTEOUS
KIND
OBEDIENT
CHEERFUL
THRIFTY
BRAVE
CLEAN
REVERENT

That says a lot!! Look to Jphn Wayne for expansion on this theme:

Well, it seems like a pretty easy task if they'll let you extend it to 12
words... :-)

Thomas W. Strong Jr. strong@dementia.org

Well, I can suggest how to do it 12 words, "Trustworthy, Loyal, ..."
Randy

An Eagle is a special Scout who has demonstrated he has the courage to
lead, the integrity to start and finish a job and the honor to realize he
did it, despite the knowledge he will be more accountable for tasks in the
future.

Sorry, I can hardly say anthything in ten words.
Dale

E nergetically
A ssisting the
G rowth and
L earning of
E very Scout.

Kevin Pate

"A good citizen of quality physical character."

(MAJ) Mike L. Walton

IMHO, the most important characteristics of an Eagle Scout.

Tim O'Leary

More than ten but...

Nice challenge...Try these:
An Eagle Scout?:

1. ?takes the best from many role models; gives his best in return.
Always! (16) [long, but true]

2. ?really understands the Oath and Law aren't just words. (12)
[getting closer]

3. ?is prepared to give everything within him. (10) [close, no cigar]

4. ?can be recognized even out of uniform. (10) [almost]

5. ?reflects all of us in his best. (10) [There!]

Thanks, I enjoyed the process and the challenge. Although I'm not an
Eagle Scout, I am am Eagle Dad. My son, Ben, reflects like a shining
beacon! HE is an Eagle!...Ric...
