You'd better be sure these parents are:
1. Registered scouters (hopefully with SMF training at the least)
2. Youth Protection trained
or you are opening yourself up for MEGA problems (read, lawsuits) if
ANYTHING happens when they're in camp.....that could be anything from a cut
finger that ends up infected to a problem of child-abuse.
THE ONLY time non-registered adults can be involved in a camping activity
is when it is billed as a "Family Camout".....I can't imagine that your
council would EVER see summer camp in this category.
I'm all for getting adults involved in the lives of their sons, but there
are rules.
