Flag Etiquette

I have been told that when carring the folded American
flag, you carry it with the point away from the body
and when you hand it off you flip it over so that the
point is now towards you. Cna anyone confirm this or
tell me the correct way to carry and hand off the
flag. I'm also looking for a site that has the
explanation of the folding. Somewhere I believe that
I've seen an ceremony that includes the explanation,
but of course I can't remember where. If anyone can
help, I'd appreciate it!
