gear weight

well, our 50 miler is looming on the horizon again and I am determined to
get the weight of my pack down by hook, or by crook. I have become a little
smarter, and will be sharing the community gear with my son who will also
be on this trip however, since a Scout is honest, I come to the campfire
seeking wisdom on this matter.
of special concern the coleman peak one propane stove. the burner on this
little gem weighs 16 oz all by itself! lighter propane stoves? --I would
like to stick with the standard propane bottle since we have quite a supply
(Costco buyer!). are there lighter weight burner available?
